Several local student-athletes have been recognized for their achievements in the classroom, earning 2026 Ohio High School Baseball Coaches Association (OHSBCA) Academic All-Ohio honors.
The annual recognition honors graduating seniors who have excelled academically throughout their high school careers. To qualify, players must have maintained at least a 3.25 unweighted grade-point average through seven semesters (or five semesters for early graduates) and be nominated by a current OHSBCA member head coach.
Among the area players receiving Academic All-Ohio recognition are:
- Patrick Stolly, Bellefontaine
- Cooper Hall, Indian Lake
- Eli Wilson, Mechanicsburg
- Shane Eckstein, Mechanicsburg
- Conner Eyink, Mechanicsburg
- Corbin Rousculp, Mechanicsburg
- Brody Donahoe, Urbana
Mechanicsburg led the local contingent with four players earning the prestigious academic honor, while Bellefontaine, Indian Lake and Urbana each had one representative.
The Academic All-Ohio team recognizes student-athletes who have demonstrated excellence both on the baseball field and in the classroom, highlighting the dedication required to balance athletics with academic success.
