Benjamin Logan Junior, Isabel Henderson qualified for the state indoor track and field meet in the high jump and 400-meter dash. The meet was comprised of division 2 and 3 athletes who were ranked in the top 24 in the indoor track and field qualifying meets held this winter. The meet was held at the Spire Institute in Geneva, Ohio.
Thirty-one athletes qualified for the high jump. Isabel was ranked 10th with a season’s best jump of 5-01. She cleared her first three jumps on the first try and achieved a height of 5-00 to finish 6th in the high jump. The top 8 athletes received medals along with all-state rankings. Isabel is not new to the high jump. She placed 7th at the outdoor state meet last season.
In the 400-meter dash, Isabel placed 9th in a field of 22 runners. She just missed receiving all-state honors even though her time of 1:00.84 was a personal record.
Isabel ends an exciting indoor season but she is looking forward to improvement and beginning her focus on the outdoor season.
The Lady Chiefs of Bellefontaine finished 13th at the State Indoor Meet.
Kylie Adams was 2nd in the Long Jump with a school record 17′ 10.5″. Admas was also 6th in the 60 Hurdles.
The 4×200 relay team finished 6th with the team of Miabelle Zayas-Colon, Callie Shumaker, Kylie Adams, and Ava Reeves.
Ava Reeves was 9th in the Long Jump and 10th in the 60 dash.
Kailyn Organ was 11th in the 60 dash.
Callie Shumaker finished 12th in the 60 hurdles.
Indian Lake had eight athletes compete at the OATCCC indoor track state championships held at the Spire Institute. To qualify, athletes were in the top 24 in D2/D3 during the regular season.
Elayna Richardson earned a spot on the podium by placing 8th in the 200 m dash (26.15).
Addison Beck placed 13th in the high jump (4-10).
The 4×200 relay team of Cameron Finfrock, Elayna Richardson, Addison Beck, and Ava Huffman placed 15th (1:53.83).
The 4×400 relay team of Reagan Rash, KaiLea Miller, Elayna Richardson, and Ava Huffman placed 16th (4:28.15).
Caiden Guantt was 20th in the long jump (18-3.5).
Ava Faler was 22nd in the triple jump (28-7.5).
