Snapp hits 1K kills, Chiefs volleyball remains unbeaten

The Bellefontaine Lady Chieftians move to 4-0 on a night senior Kelsie Snapp reaches a career mark, and Bellefontaine sweeps the Kenton Wildcats: 25-20, 25-7, 25-4.

Snapp recorded her 1,000th kill in the opening set of the match, a massive milestone. The stellar outside hitter finished the night with 20 kills and 16 digs, leading the charge on both offense and defense.

While highlighted by Snapp, the Lady Chieftains delivered several strong performances against the Wildcats. Senior setter Madi Zedeker helped lead the offense with 38 assists, going a perfect 16/16 from the service line with three aces. Defensive specialist Jillian Ullom added 13 digs and served up two aces. Presley Vigansky contributed six kills and four aces, Kaeleigh Flora chipped in with seven kills and six digs, and Ava Layman rounded out the effort with five kills, nine digs, and flawless serving.

In junior varsity action, the Chiefs also came out strong, defeating Kenton in straight sets: 25-17, 25-13.

Rosie Lightle led the team with 10 assists and a perfect 18/18 serving, including an ace. Alayna Boyd filled the stat sheet with nine assists, six kills, four digs, and an ace. Ava Oppy anchored the defense with 15 digs, adding four kills and perfect serving. Lexey Brown tallied seven kills and went 10/11 serving with an ace, and Celine Blinn added 12 digs and perfect serving to round out the win.
