Snow throws shut out in Riverside victory – Thursday softball scores

Area softball teams hit the diamond Thursday.

Benjamin Logan ran past New Bremen 12-2.

Brooks Myers and Jillian Plikerd collected 3 hits each for the Raiders.

On the mound, Chloe Crumm went the distance pitching 7 innings. She gave up 2 runs on 2 hits with 14 strikeouts.

Indian Lake blasted Versailles 16-3.

Madison Brentlinger, Kayleigh Zedlitz, Katie Roby, Mackenzie Dixon, Haylee Edwards, and Abigail Elliott all had multiple hits.

Brentlinger got the win on the hill.

The Lakers improve the 3-0.

Indian Lake Varsity Softball

Riverside shut out Northridge 15-0 in 5 innings.

Alaina Snow through a no-hitter with 14 strikeouts.

At the plate, Jade Copas went 3-5 with 3 RBIs, Katie Schlumbohm was 3-4 with 3 RBIs, and Riley Dillion tallied 3 hits.

Riverside improves to 2-1. The Lady Pirates will travel to Indian Lake Saturday for a doubleheader.

Alaina Snow Pitching

West Liberty-Salem fell to Northeastern 12-0.

Whitney Strapp, Audrey Collins, and Brooklyn Wilcoxon all had a hit for the Tigers.

In JV action, Benjamin Logan fell to Kenton Ridge 10-8.

Adilynne Gregg took the loss for the Raiders. Gregg gave up 10 runs on 4 hits over 6 innings, striking out 3.

Offensively, Courtney Bowers, Keeli Rostorfer, Miah Defibaugh, Sophia Harris, and Sam Niswonger each racked up multiple hits.

Rostorfer and Bowers all had three hits to lead the Raiders. Rostorfer also led the team with three out of the seven stolen bases.

Benjamin Logan is now 1-1 on the season.

The JV Lady Raiders play Monday night at home vs Graham at 5:00 pm.
