Benjamin Logan Boys Tie Indian Lake, 1-1

The Benjamin Logan boys soccer team played to a 1-1 draw against Indian Lake, bringing their season record to 5-3-4. After Indian Lake’s Chase Schwab opened the scoring 20 minutes into the first half, Eric Hughes equalized with 30 minutes remaining in the game. Coach Hughes expressed disappointment with the result, noting, “We thought we had the better chances but just couldn’t get that second goal. We started flat for such a big game. Indian Lake fought through adversity and got a result they are happy with.” The Raiders will look to bounce back as they head to Kenton Ridge for a CBC matchup on Thursday at 7:30 PM.

 

Lady Raiders Secure 2-0 Win Over Indian Lake

In contrast, the Benjamin Logan girls’ team celebrated a solid 2-0 victory against Indian Lake on Monday night. Goals from Kelley Forsythe and Kate Gulick sealed the win, while Rissa Bates delivered a stellar performance in goal, keeping the Lakers off the scoreboard. Coach Trees praised his team’s effort, saying he was “extremely happy with the passion they showed throughout the contest.”

WLS Boys Defeat Sidney Lehman, 2-0

The West Liberty-Salem boys’ soccer team continued their strong season with a 2-0 victory over Sidney Lehman, improving their record to 7-2-2. Wyatt Longaberger scored the first goal with an assist from Lance Campbell, who later added a second goal off a rebound from Troy Christison’s shot. Goalkeeper Tucker Searles and the defense kept Lehman at bay, with Searles recording only two saves in the match. The Tigers will host Marion Pleasant for another CBC clash on Thursday at 7:30 PM.

WLS Girls Fall to Lehman Catholic, 2-0

The West Liberty-Salem girls’ soccer team faced a tough outing against Lehman Catholic, losing 0-2. Despite the setback, Audrey Collins stood strong in goal with 13 saves. The Tigers now sit at 4-5 overall and 2-2 in conference play. They will aim for a rebound against Southeastern at home on Thursday, kicking off at 5:30 PM.
