In a thrilling night of soccer, the Indian Lake Boys Varsity Team secured a narrow 1-0 victory over Graham. Avery Pequignot scored the lone goal of the match, while Colten Corcoran delivered a solid performance in goal, achieving a shutout. The defense, comprised of Jacob Freyhof, Cameron Freyhof, Stevie Spofford, Calvin Knief, and Cason Lacher, played a pivotal role in keeping Graham scoreless. With this win, Indian Lake improves to an impressive 8-1 on the season.

Meanwhile, the Benjamin Logan Boys Soccer Team showcased their dominance with an 8-0 triumph over Shawnee. Aidan Todd was the standout performer, scoring four goals and providing two assists. Carter Lyden added two goals, while Landon Stoodt and Liam Sweeney celebrated their first career goals. Liam also recorded an 80-minute shutout, making three saves. Eric Hughes contributed significantly with three assists, and Ethan Miller added another assist. The Raiders now hold a record of 5-3-2 and are set to face West Liberty Salem on Saturday. Coach Hughes expressed pride in his team, stating, “I’m proud of the guys tonight for sharing the ball and playing team soccer. We’re looking forward to another big game on Saturday.”

On the girls’ side, the Lady Raiders encountered a tough challenge, losing to Shawnee 4-1. They will aim to rebound in their next home game against Indian Lake on Monday night at 7:30 PM.

In other action, the Bellefontaine Lady Chiefs faced a close match against Kenton Ridge, ultimately falling 1-0. Despite the loss, the Chiefs fought hard against one of the top teams in the Kenton Trail division. Kenton Ridge scored within the first 30 seconds, but the Chiefs’ defense held strong for the remainder of the match. Standout performances came from goalkeeper Emma Whitaker and defender Ava Watson, who both contributed to the team’s effort.
