Softball: IL & BHS Win Big; WLS & BL Fall

The Bellefontaine Lady Chiefs played at Tecumseh Wednesday and came away with a 20-4 win.

Kassi Prine earned the win on the mound.

Offensively Ellie Mitchell went 3-4 with a double, Rianna Fullerton went 5-5 with a double, Alexza Clifton went 2-3 with a double and homerun, Addison Wical went 3-4 with a double, Aubrey Hudson went 3-3 with a triple, Carissa Cozad added a double.

The Lady Chiefs play again Thursday against Tecumseh at home.

 

The Indian Lake Lakers won big over the Urbana Hillclimbers 22-1.

The Lakers got things started in the first inning. Madison Brentlinger’s sac fly scored one run for Indian Lake. They went on to score 11 runs in that first inning.

The offensive onslaught came from singles from Kenzie Dixon & Halle Roby, doubles from Haylee Edwards & Abigail Elliott, and triple by Madison Brentlinger, a fielders choice by Kayleigh Zedlitz, and an error on a ball put in play by Kayleigh Zedlitz.

The Lakers stole 7 bases during the game.

 

The Benjamin Logan Raiders lost a league match-up to North Union Wednesday night 9-1.

Kyah Moore suffered the loss on the mound. North Union scored seven runs in the third inning, which was the difference in the game.

Offensively the Lady Raiders, Moore doubled and drove in a run, and Brooks Myers, Elliott Bailey, Rhea Harner, and Kenzee Roseburrough each added a hit.

The Lady Raiders will host North Union Thursday at 5:15 PM.

 

The West Liberty-Salem Tigers Softball team fell in a close game against West Jefferson 2-0.

Kennedy Wallace led the strong defense by only giving up one earned run.
