Softball roundup: Indian Lake dominates, Benjamin Logan and Bellefontaine battle in close losses

Friday night, Indian Lake beat Tecumseh 14-2 in a big offensive game.

Annie Rapp led the way with three hits and four RBIs.

She had a two-run double in the fourth and an RBI single in the fifth.

The Lakers scored seven runs in the fourth inning.

Big hits came from Mackenzie Dixon, Halle Roby, Rapp, Bre Wisener, and Addison Stinemetz, who hit a two-run homer.

Bre Wisener was the winning pitcher, throwing five innings and allowing just two unearned runs while striking out four.

Indian Lake had 17 hits in total.

Roby and Rapp each had three, while Brylee Buyer, Izzi Mackesy, Wisener, and Dixon also had multiple hits.

The team turned one double play.

They play again on Tuesday at Bellefontaine.

The Benjamin Logan Lady Raiders nearly pulled off a comeback but fell to Jonathan Alder 7-5.

Down by six runs in the fifth inning, Benjamin Logan scored on a single, a double, and a groundout to close the gap.

Keeli Rostorfer and Sidney Sallee each had three hits.

Kylie Harner went 2-for-3 and drove in three runs, including a double in the second inning that tied the game.

Chloe Crumm pitched four innings, giving up seven runs (three earned), and had four strikeouts.

Bellefontaine honored seven seniors on Senior Night: Laila Butler, Carissa Cozad, Raychael DeLong, Andie Eicher, Kassi Prine, Haylee Yelton, and Airiana Young.

The Lady Chiefs lost 7-4 to North Union.

Kassi Prine, Ava Dolan, and Addison Wical each had two hits.

Bellefontaine is back in action Monday at Tecumseh.
