The match kicked off with a quick lead for the Spartans, thanks to an early goal by Trent Comer, assisted by Nehemiah Dillon. However, the Lions responded swiftly, scoring two goals to take a 2-1 lead into halftime.
In the second half, Senior Captain Luke Gaertner leveled the score with a header, and as the game neared its end, Trent Comer struck again, netting the game-winning goal. Both of these crucial second-half goals were assisted by Josh Carnes.
With this win, the Varsity Spartans now hold a 3-1-1 overall record. They are set to face Lima Central Catholic on Thursday.
