St.Clair, Rutan and Wrestling Team Inducted into Benjamin Logan Hall of Fame

The bleachers were packed Saturday night at Benjamin Logan High School for the Annual Athletic Hall of Fame Induction.

3 inductees were introduced to the prestigious accolade.

The Benjamin Logan Athletic Department inducted Coreen St. Clair and Doug Rutan into the Athletic Hall of Fame as the class of 2023.

Head Coach Tony Grant also inducted the 2004-2005 Wrestling team.

Coreen (Crosby) St. Clair, former Class of 2017 Benjamin Logan Graduate was honored for her years of dedication to the school’s Volleyball and Softball programs.

St. Clair achieved 10 Varsity Letters in her career, and recorded 762 Kills, 109 Aces, 715 Digs, and 92 Blocks.

Also on her resume are multiple State First and Second team places.

Mr. Doug Rutan was honored Saturday Night for his dedicated service as the Baseball Head Coach.

Rutan served as the Head Coach for 12 years, having a Coaching Record of (226-98).

Mr. Rutan also worked as the Physical Education Teacher at Benjamin Logan for 27 total years.

The 2004-2005 Wrestling team was honored for their 5th-place State ranking.

Coached by Tony Grant, the team was led to an 81-4 overall record in 2005, 5th in Divison II State Duals, 3rd at sectionals, and 20th in the OHSAA.

Benjamin Logan’s Athletic Department presents its warmest welcome to these individuals as they have earned a coveted spot in the Hall of Fame.
