The D5 state semi-final matchup between Graham and Lynchburg-Clay was postponed Friday due to rain.

The game started late last night after a 2-hour delay, allowing the teams to complete just two innings before heavier rain set in around 10 o’clock. Officials postponed the game after another hour of waiting.

The Falcons took advantage of the time they did have on the field, jumping to an early 2-0 lead in the first inning. Adam Levy kept in true form, knocking in a couple of runs to start the game.

Play will continue at 4 o’clock on Saturday. Tickets from Friday’s game will be honored at the gate.

The winner will play the Waynedale Golden Bears on Sunday, beginning at 7 PM. Waynedale defeated Coldwater earlier in the day, 2-1.
