West Liberty 2, sponsored by Choice Property Real Estate, stayed unbeaten Wednesday night with a convincing 13-3 victory over Bellefontaine 2, improving to 2-0 on the season.
West Liberty’s offense was productive throughout the night, piling up hits and timely RBI performances to pull away early. Alayne Campbell paced the lineup with a pair of hits, while Emelie Conley also collected two hits and drove in two runs to lead the team offensively.
Several other players contributed to the balanced attack. Winnie Cotrell, Ember Dulebohn, Hadley Robinson, Peyton Reminder, Emmy Loehr, and Elise Baker each recorded a hit and drove in a run during the win as West Liberty consistently put pressure on Bellefontaine’s defense.
West Liberty also received a strong effort in the circle. Ember Dulebohn started the game and helped set the tone before Lakien Dennis came on in relief to finish off the victory.
With the win, West Liberty 2 moves to 2-0 on the young season and continues to build momentum early in the schedule.
