Strong Showings from Local Volleyball Teams Ahead of Tournament Play

It was an exciting night for local volleyball teams, with significant victories and standout performances across the board.

Indian Lake:
The Indian Lake Lakers claimed a share of the CBC title by dominating Graham in straight sets, winning 25-9, 25-13, and 25-12. Kenzie Dixon led the charge with 11 kills, while Halle Roby contributed 21 assists and went 10-for-10 serving. Other key players included Cami Bailey with 6 kills and 4 digs, and Addyson Roby, who served flawlessly and recorded 13 assists. With an impressive regular-season record of 19-3 overall and 9-1 in the CBC, the Lakers are set to begin tournament play on October 19th against Dayton Northridge at 11 AM.

The Indian Lake JV team also had a strong showing, defeating Graham 25-10, 25-16, finishing their season with an impressive 18-4 record.

Benjamin Logan:
Meanwhile, Benjamin Logan’s volleyball team traveled to Shawnee High School, where they won in straight sets: 25-21, 25-15, and 25-7. Skylar Miracle led the team with 12 kills, while Autumn Cline excelled with 34 assists. The team demonstrated strong all-around play, setting the stage for a promising tournament run.

Riverside:
In a tightly contested match, Riverside’s varsity team battled hard but lost in four sets, with scores of 22-25, 23-25, 27-25, and 24-26. Avery Perk shone with 6 kills and 16 assists, while Jayden Hoffer contributed 10 kills and 15 digs. The Riverside JV team found success, winning their matches 25-23 and 25-20.

West Liberty-Salem:
On Senior Night, the Tiger volleyball team faced OHC rival Mechanicsburg, winning a thrilling match in four sets: 14-25, 31-29, 25-18, and 25-15. Naomi Cole was a standout player, recording 15 kills, while Londyn Loveless provided 14 assists. The Tigers improved their record to 12-9, with 11-4 in conference play.
