Thursday Bowling: Raiders Battle Hillclimbers and Chieftains Take on Pioneers


The Benjamin Logan Boys Varsity Bowling team set a new school record Thursday night at Southwest Bowl vs Urbana.

Total pinfall: Ben Logan – 3033 (new school record) to Urbana – 2900.

Leading the Raiders was Landon Stoodt – games of 222, 223 – 445 series, Daven Williams – games of 244, 189 – 433 series, Jarrett Buckenroth – games of 186, 224 – 410 series, Nate Davis – games of 210, 184 – 394 series. Caleb Knight contributed with a 257 game and Dylan Stewart chipped in a 180 game.

In the Varsity Baker Games, Ben Logan shot games of 183, 279, 259 & 193 for a 914 Baker Game series taking 3 out of 4 Baker games from Urbana.

Ben Logan Varsity Boys Bowling team is 5-0 in the CBC.

The Benjamin Logan Boys JV squad was in action tonight as well vs Urbana.

Total pinfall: Ben Logan – 1910 to Urbana – 1741.

Leading the JV squad was Aaron Vogelsang – games of 212, 198 – 410 series, Hayden Godwin – games of 185, 152 – 337 series.

In the JV Baker Games the JV’s split with Urbana.

The JV squad is now 3-1 on the season.

The Ben Logan Boys Varsity & JV teams will be in action again on Wednesday, December 13th in a home match vs. Bellefontaine.

The first strike will fall at 4:00 PM.


The Lady Raiders varsity bowling team lost to Urbana 1935-2427 on Thursday.

Maddy Hamm led the Raiders with a 339 series (218).

Hunter McColloch was consistent with games of 156 and 159 for a 315 series.

Reigan Thomas added a 169 game.

The JV Lady Raiders lost a hard-fought match to Urbana 1429-1502.

Kaydon Wilber rolled her best series of 318 (155, 163).

Kaelyn Corwin rolled games of 98 and 123 game and Ashlynn Johnston chipped in a 118 game.

The Varsity Lady Raiders are back in action on Saturday, December 9th at the Southwest Baker Shoot-Out at 1 pm


The Bellefontaine High School varsity girls bowling team struggled Thursday night.

They were down 25 pins going into the Baker but were + 4 going into the fourth Baker game and shot 136 to Jonathan Alder’s 132, winning by 8 pins.

The leading scorers for the Chieftains were Chloe Heminger 181 game 332 series, Gracie Hood 165 game 328 Haylee Yelton 158 game 306.

The JV girls won Thursday 1703 – 1255

Leading scorer was Nevaeh Lafollette with 146 and 162 games for a 298 series.


Chieftain Boys Bowling lost on the road to Jonathan Alder.

Leading the Chiefs was Alex Moon with a 338.

Chipping in was Jacob Lynch with a 325 series.

Rory Pierce added  a179 game.

Chiefs had baker games of 157, 187, 162, 156.

They will be at Southwest Lanes on Saturday for a baker tournament.

BHS JV bowling won 2127 to 1692.

Leading the Chiefs was Paul La Follette with 214 game and Brandon Pinkerton with a 337 series.

Truman Howell with a 174 game and 318 series.

Baker games consisted of 173, 135, 158, 163.

Chiefs are at home Monday with Urbana.
