Bellefontaine 8th Grade Tops Kenton Ridge, 19–15

The Bellefontaine 8th-grade Lady Chiefs improved to 7–6 with a hard-fought 19–15 victory over Kenton Ridge on Thursday night.

Bellefontaine led 5–2 after the first quarter and extended the lead to 10–6 at halftime. The Chiefs controlled the tempo in the third quarter, taking a 14–10 advantage into the final period. Strong team defense and disciplined play down the stretch helped secure the win.

Gianna Davis sealed the victory at the free-throw line, knocking down two clutch free throws in the final moments.

The team also received strong support from the BHS varsity girls basketball team and coaches, who made the trip to provide energy and encouragement from the student section.

The Bellefontaine 7th grade Lady Chiefs earned a 22–11 win over Kenton Ridge on Thursday night, improving their record to 11–2 on the season.

West Liberty-Salem 8th Grade Boys Edge Northeastern, 21–19

The West Liberty-Salem 8th-grade boys basketball team picked up a close 21–19 road win over Northeastern to improve to 8–2 on the season.

WL-S was led by balanced scoring, with Mack Heminger, Foster King, and Kipton Crowder each scoring six points. Liam Harrington added two points, and Mason Wallace chipped in one point.

The Tigers finished 7-for-15 from the free-throw line and totaled 21 points on the night.

West Liberty-Salem will play at West Jefferson on Saturday, with tip-off set for 10:00 a.m.

West Liberty-Salem 7th Grade Boys Fall at Northeastern

The West Liberty-Salem 7th-grade boys basketball team traveled to Northeastern on Thursday and suffered a 38–28 loss.

Harrison Sutherin led WL-S with 10 points and four rebounds. Greyson Leichty added eight points, while Colten Christison and Miles Wright each scored four points. Nathan Deitrick finished with two points and five rebounds.

Indian Lake 8th Grade Boys Lose to Alder

The Indian Lake 8th-grade boys basketball team dropped a 44–11 decision to Alder on Thursday night, moving their season record to 10–4.

Brady Jackson paced the Lakers with five points, followed by Colt Volbrecht with four points. Miller Hall completed the scoring with two points.

Indian Lake looks to bounce back when they travel to Northwestern on Monday night.
