Thursday Softball: Chiefs Shutout Tecumseh; Lakers Fall to Kenton Ridge


The Lady Chiefs played Tecumseh at home Thursday and had a shutout win 17-0.

Freshman Addison Wical had a record-breaking night going 2-3 with two doubles. The two doubles break the season double record (11 previously held by Jazmyn Haley) sitting at 12.

Offensively Ellie Mitchell went 2-4, Kassi Prine 3-4 with a triple, Alexza Clifton 2-2 with a double, Airanna Young 3-4, Aubrey Hudson 2-3, Ava Watson 2-3, Carissa Cozad added a double.

Kassi Prine earned the win on the mound.


The Indian Lake Lakers suffered a tough loss to Kenton Ridge last night 5-2.

Madison Brentlinger was on the rubber for Indian Lake. The pitcher went 7 innings, allowing 5 runs on 7 hits and striking out 5.

Haylee Edwards went 3-for-4 on the plate to lead the Lakers. Mackenzie Dixon had the most chances in the field with six.

The Lady Pirates hosted Milton Union and fell 9-5.

Aubree Huston went 3 for 3 with a double.

Jaidyn Jackson had two hits on the day.

The Pirates now fall to 12-7 overall and 8-3 in league play.

The West Liberty-Salem ladies fell to Mechanicsburg 8-0 Thursday.

Olivia Reichardt was 1-3.

Briley Sullivan was 1-2.


The Benjamin Logan JV Lady Raiders won against the North Union Lady Cats JV 6 to 1 on Thursday night.

Benjamin Logan opened up scoring in the first inning. Tanna Jacobs singled on a 2-2 count, scoring two runs.

Aubrey Harris, Kelsey Chambers, Sidney Sallee, Tanna Jacobs, and Courtney Bowers each collected one hit to lead the Raiders.

Adilynne Gregg was the winning pitcher for the Lady Raiders. The righty allowed three hits and one run over seven innings, striking out 14.
