West Liberty-Salem senior soccer standout Wyatt Longaberger has officially signed his letter of commitment to continue both his academic and athletic career at the University of Findlay, where he will compete for the Oilers men’s soccer program at the NCAA Division II level.
Longaberger signed during a ceremony held in the West Liberty-Salem High School Media Center, surrounded by family, friends, teammates, and coaches. Joining him for the special occasion were Coach Michael Yoder, Head Coach Tim Wolfe, and Athletic Director Morgan Sullivan, as well as those who have supported him throughout his high school journey. The moment marked the culmination of years of dedication and hard work on and off the field.
Wyatt’s senior season was highlighted by exceptional performance and leadership. He was named Athlete of the Season, earned First Team All-OHC honors, and was selected First Team All-District by the Miami Valley Scholastic Soccer Coaches Association (MVSSCA). In addition to his success with the Tigers, Longaberger competes year-round with Elite FC Soccer, continuing to sharpen his skills through high-level club competition.
Throughout his high school career, Longaberger has exemplified the qualities of a true student-athlete, balancing academic achievement with athletic excellence while serving as a steady leader for the Tigers. His work ethic, coachability, and team-first mindset have earned the respect of coaches and teammates alike.
At Findlay, Longaberger plans to study biology while continuing his soccer career at the collegiate level. The signing represents a major milestone for both Longaberger and the West Liberty-Salem soccer program, as he takes the next step in his journey and continues wearing orange at the next level.
