Tiger Volleyball Defeats Shawnee; Spartans End Season

The West Liberty-Salem Tigers traveled to Brookville for Round 2 of the OHSAA volleyball tournament.

WLS beat Preble Shawnee in straight sets: 25-20; 25-15 & 25-19.

For The Tigers:

• Bailey Poppe: 20 kills, 12 digs, 2 aces
• Olivia Wilcox: 14 digs, 4 assists, 2 aces
• Londyn Loveless: 17 assists, 10 digs, 3 aces
• Briley Sullivan: 8 kills, 4 digs
• Ava Poppe: 8 kills, 8 digs, 1 ace
• Naomi Cole: 6 kills, 1 dig
• Lyndee Harrison: 17 assists, 12 digs
• Ellah Heminger: 3 digs, 1 ace, 1 block
• Chaley Wade: 4/4 hitting

The Tigers improved to 20-4 on the season.

They will play Alter on Monday at 7:30 p.m. at Brookville.

The Calvary Christian Spartan JV volleyball team ended their season Saturday morning playing Milford Christian Academy.

The Spartans were up 17-10 in the 1st set but finished 18-25 and 13-25.

Claire Heater had 2 assists and an ace and Bella Titus had 1 assist.

Mya Davis had 2 kills and Emily Church had 1.

Abigail Church had 1 ace and the best serve receive.
