Tigers, Lakers & Chiefs Win Over the Weekend


The West Liberty-Salem Tigers beat Troy Christian 7-3 on Saturday afternoon.

Peyton Hull went the distance for the Tigers and earned the win.

The Tigers are now 9-3 on the season and play Northeastern at home on Monday.


The Lakers defeated the Redskins Saturday, 2-0.

Kolton Cummins started the game for the Lakers and recorded 15 outs.

The Lakers didn’t take the lead until later in the game.

The game was tied at zero in the top of the seventh when Tyler Tidwell doubled, scoring two runs.

Thomas Elliott earned the win for the Lakers.

The right-handed pitcher surrendered one hit and zero runs over one inning, striking out one and walking none.

Tidwell provided a pop in the middle of the lineup and led the Lakers with two runs batted in.

The third baseman went two for four on the day.

In their second game, the Lakers fell to Minster 1-0.

Jackson Snipes started the game for the Lake and recorded 15 outs.

Griffin Schaub took the Loss for the Lakers. Lane Tucci went one for three at the plate to lead the Lakers in Hits.

Indian Lake will take on Benjamin Logan on Monday.


Bellefontaine beat St. Marys 10-1.

A walk by Owen Larison put Bellefontaine on the board in the top of the first inning.

They went on to score five runs in the third.

Jose Sandoval stepped on the mound first for the Chiefs.

They allowed four hits and one run over six innings, striking out three and walking three.

Spencer Stolly tossed one inning of shutout ball for the Chiefs in relief.

The southpaw surrendered zero hits striking out two and walking none.

Cayleb Overman led Bellefontaine with three runs batted in from the number seven spot in the lineup.

They will play in London on Monday.
