The West Liberty-Salem Varsity Tigers delivered a dominant performance Thursday night, defeating Greenon 10–2 in a well-rounded effort both at the plate and on the mound.
The Tigers got on the board early, with Caleb Hershberger driving in a run in the first inning with a single.
They added another in the third when Jeremiah Johnson singled to center, making it 2–0.
On the mound, Isaiah Reames turned in a stellar complete game.
He allowed just one hit and two runs (one earned) across seven innings, striking out eight and walking four.
Reames also helped his own cause offensively, going 2-for-4 and driving in three runs.
Hershberger led the way with a 3-for-4 day at the plate, while Brodey Deam added two hits in three at-bats.
On the base paths, Jake Evans and Dallas Koons each stole multiple bases, contributing to the team’s eight total stolen bases.
Braden Hershberger led the team with nine fielding chances.
The Tigers return to action Friday at home as they take on Versailles.
