Tigers win 7th straight Bob Schul Invitational

The West Liberty-Salem Big Orange boys cross country team continued its dominance at the 55th Annual Bob Schul Invitational, winning the team title for the seventh consecutive year.

Sixteen teams and 240 runners competed in the D1/D2 race.

Leading the team were Sophomore Asher Cole, who finished second in 16:16.3, Senior Caleb Larson, third in 16:29.2, and Sophomore Brayan Gullett, sixth in 16:39.1.

Additional scoring runners included Senior Dylan King (12th, 17:03.0), Sophomore Owen Hardwick (23rd, 17:30.7), Sophomore Zeke Longshore (45th, 18:08.7), Senior Garrett Wallen (51st, 18:31.5), Freshman Eric Hoover (55th, 18:35.4), and Sophomore Gauge Lee (65th, 18:56.5).

Other team members competing included Junior Zac Carter (86th), Junior Zeke Sidders (101st), Sophomore Daniel Erne (159th), Freshman Landon McKenzie (167th), Freshman Isaiah Barth (172nd), and Sophomore Jackson Henry (175th).

West Liberty-Salem finished with a dominating 46 points, well ahead of Oakwood (100), Granville (111), and Bellefontaine (111), capturing yet another milestone in the program’s storied history.
