Host Indian Lake won the Laker Invitational on Thursday. The girls team improves their record to 73-7 on the season.
Team scores were Indian Lake 153, St. Marys 140, Lima Bath 95, Greenville 76, Wapakoneta 53, Waynesfield-Goshen 50, Fairlawn 46, Lima Perry 30, Jackson Center 16, Calvary Christian 14, and Indian Lake B 12.
Winning events for Indian Lake was the 4×100 team of Elayna Richardson, Reece Martin, Ava Huffman and Addison Beck with a new school record time 51.20. The previous record of 51.77 was set in 2015. Also winning their event was Reece Martin in the 100 hurdles (16.66), Stephanie Altstaetter in shot put (36-1), Ava Faler in triple jump (30-8.75), and the 4×400 relay team of Richardson, R. Martin, Reagan Rash, and Cameron Finfrock (4:13).
Placing second was Elayna Richardson in the 400 m dash (59.98), Evie Wagner in the 3200 m run (12:59), Ava Faler in high jump (4-10) and pole vault (8-0), Maddie Miller in discus (106-0), and Grace Pequignot in shot put (35-11).
Placing third was the 4×800 relay team of Hannah Metzger, Reagan Rash, Evie Wagner and KaiLea Miller (10:55), Reagan Rash in the 1600 m run (5:50) and 800 m run (2:37), Hannah Metzger in the 3200 m run (13:13), Stephanie Altstaetter in discus (102-6), and Marah Reames in triple jump (29-2.25).
Placing fourth was the 4×200 relay team of Ava Huffman, Addison Beck, Jalan Martin and Cameron Finfrock (1:53), and Richardson in the 200 m dash (26.59).
Placing fifth was Addison Beck in the 100 m dash (13.59), and KaiLea Miller in the 1600 m run (6:00).
Placing sixth was Regan Ross in discus (80-8) and Andi Miller in triple jump (27-1.25).
Placing seventh was the 4×800 B relay of Cambria Tuttle, Makayla Motter, Andi Miller, and Maggie Reese (12:44), and KaiLea Miller in the 800 m run (2:50).
Placing eighth was Cameron Finfrock in the 100 m dash (14.02).
Boys team scores were Lima Bath 122.5, Wapakoneta 109, St. Marys 94, Greenville 78.5, Lima Perry 75.5, Waynesfield Goshen 66, Indian Lake 59, Jackson Center 52, Calvary Christian 24.5, Fairlawn 15, and Indian Lake B 6.
Placing first was Brant Parsell in the 300 m hurdles (41.75).
Placing third was Isaac Morrison in long jump (18-1) and Brody Parsell in pole vault (11-6).
Placing fourth was the 4×800 team of Vincent Wilson, Heath Wilson, Grant McPherson, and Tony Cummins (9:16), the 4×400 team of McPherson, Isaac Morrison, Brant Parsell and Everett Wischmeyer (3:41), and Caiden Gauntt in long jump (18-0).
Placing fifth was the 4×100 team of Quest Clay, Drake Cosby, Isaac Morrison and Caiden Gauntt (46.55), Brant Parsell in the 110 m hurdles (16.54), Christopher Timms in the shot put (37-3.5), and Caiden Gauntt in triple jump (34-10.25).
Placing sixth was Ryan Culp in pole vault (11-0).
Placing seventh was the 4×200 team of Heath Wilson, Drake Cosby, Quest Clay and Draden Stevenson (1:40), and Grant McPherson in the 800 m run (2:14).
Placing eighth was Quest Clay in the 100 m dash (11.99) and Gavin Henry in triple jump (33-6.75).
Fifteen Indian Lake Seniors were honored at their last home meet:
Stephanie Altstaetter, Jalan Martin, Reece Martin, Meadow McCullough, Andi Miller, Grace Pequignot, Marah Reames, Jolee Reeser, Elayna Richardson, Regan Ross, Caiden Gauntt, Isaac Morrison, Brant Parsell, Creek Wischemeyer, and Lily Jenkins who was a student-coach at the middle school.
“The kids competed well in our last regular season meet. It is always nice to win your own meet and break a school record in the 4×100 relay. We are excited to head into the league championships next week.”
