Triad’s Millice punches ticket to Districts; Calvary Christian, Riverside also compete in boys’ Sectional Tournament

The Southwest Division III boys golf sectional tournament was held Tuesday at Shelby Oaks Golf Course in Sidney. Calvary Christian finished 13th as a team, Riverside placed 14th, while Triad finished 16th.

Triad’s Cohen Millice advanced individually to the district tournament after finishing tied for 13th overall.

Southwest Division III Sectional

Calvary Christian — 13th (377)

The Calvary Christian Eagles finished 13th with a team score of 377.

Landen Jackson led the Eagles with an 85, shooting 41 on the front nine and 44 on the back to finish 23rd individually.

Brant Zell carded a 92 with rounds of 48 and 44 to tie for 46th, while Grayson Barnes shot a 93 with a 46 on the front nine and 47 on the back to tie for 49th.

Levi Hanson finished with a 107 after shooting 57-50 to tie for 70th.

Graham Trittschuh rounded out the Calvary Christian lineup with a 122, shooting 64 on the front nine and 58 on the back to finish 75th.

Riverside — 14th (392)

The Riverside Pirates finished 14th with a team score of 392.

Brody Orsborne paced Riverside with an 83, shooting 40 on the front nine and 43 on the back to tie for 15th individually.

Syler Clark followed with a 95, including rounds of 45 and 50, to tie for 53rd.

Jaycen Roby and Zane Armbruster each carded 107s. Roby shot 54-53, while Armbruster finished with rounds of 52-55, with both tying for 70th.

Karston Duckro finished with a 139 after shooting 71 on the front nine and 68 on the back to place 78th.

Triad — 16th (419)

The Triad Cardinals finished 16th as a team with a score of 419.

Cohen Millice led the Cardinals with an 82, shooting 42 on the front nine and 40 on the back to tie for 13th individually. His finish earned him a spot in the district tournament.

Carson Jackson shot a 97, including a 54 on the front nine and 43 on the back, to finish 57th.

Colton Mullin carded a 113 with rounds of 54 and 59 to place 74th.

Hayden Sheppeard rounded out the Triad lineup with a 127 after shooting 67-60 to tie for 76th.
