Tuesday Boys Basketball: Raiders, Lakers Fall; Tigers, Spartans Net Competition

The Benjamin Logan boys basketball team visited Jonathan Alder Tuesday night and lost 62-24.

The team was led by Cayden Brown with 8 points.

Ethan Miller scored 5 points for the team.

The JV Raiders also lost 57-24.

The team was led by Roman Maxwell with 7 points.

Xavier Allen added 6 points.

 

Indian Lake fell to Kenton Ridge 60-56.

Caiden Nicol led the Lakers scoring 21 points.

The JV team also fell to Kenton Ridge 366-38

Leading the Lakers was Quentin Miller netting 9 points.

The West Liberty-Salem varsity team defeated Cedarville 63-59.

Leading the Tigers were:

West Liberty-Salem’s JV team defeated Cedarville 33-31.

The West Liberty-Salem Freshmen defeated Cedarville 32-25.

  • Conner Leichty, 5 points
  • Noah Sarver, 4 points

The Calvary Christian varsity Spartans defeated the Sidney Christian Eagles 62-16 in a league match-up on Tuesday night.

It was a team effort with Christian Rogan scoring 12 points, grabbing 3 rebounds, and having 4 assists and 1 steal.

Luke Gaertner scored the second-highest points with 11 and had 2 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals.

Wyatt Schlatter dropped a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds. He also had 2 assists and 4 steals.

Philip Davie had 9 points, 6 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 steal.

The Spartan’s overall record is 7-3 and 6-0 in the OVCC.

Their next game is Saturday against Lima Temple.

 

The Bellefontaine Chieftain Boys Basketball team won a CBC matchup Tuesday evening 49-39 over Springfield Shawnee.

Leading the Chiefs in scoring was junior Jacob Salyer with 15 points and senior Riley Neer & sophomore Patrick Stolly each added 11 points to the victory.

Salyer led the team in rebounds and Neer dished out a team-high 6 assists in the win.

In the Freshmen contest, the Chiefs won 38-24 with CJ Butler leading the team with 11 points.

In the JV contest, the Chiefs won 52-41 with Jamison Clement scoring 18 points.

The Chieftains are back in action this Friday at home against the Red Raiders of London in a key CBC Kenton Trail division matchup

 

Graham fell to London on Tuesday 61-24.

Urbana defeated Northwestern 62-20.
