The Varsity Spartans beat OVCC rival Spring Valley by a score of 64-57.

Philip Davie and Wyatt Schlatter were key contributors to the win.

Schlatter dropped a double-double scoring 19 points and pulling down 19 rebounds.

He also had 3 steals and 3 assists.

Davie scored 22 points and grabbed 7 rebounds.

Evan Patton scored 10 points and had 5 steals, 5 assists, and 1 rebound and Luke Gaertner scored 8 points and had 1 rebound.

The Spartans’ overall record is 8-4 and 7-0 in the OVCC.

The JV Spartans defeated the Spring Valley Stallions in a conference match-up Tuesday night, by a score of 49-36.

Daniel Young was the highest scorer with 10 points.

Evan Schmidt scored 9 points and had 6 rebounds, 6 steals, and 4 assists.

Christian Rogan and John Gaertner both added 8 points apiece and Fletcher Lambert scored 7 points.

The win brings their overall record to 6-4 and 3-0 in the OVCC.

Their next game is Saturday against league opponent CHESS.

 

The Bellefontaine Boys Basketball team won a close match against the Graham Falcons 56-55 Tuesday night.

Leading the Chiefs was CJ Wilson with 13 points and 13 rebounds.

Jair Mundy and Riley Neer both added 10 points.

In JV action the Chiefs won 53-37.

CJ Butler was the leading scorer with 15.

In the freshman contest, the Chiefs beat the Falcons 47-14.

La’Vonte Mundy was the leading scorer with 12.

The Chiefs are back in action Friday night where they will play the Urbana Hill Climbers.

 

The Indian Lake Varsity Lakers defeated Tecumseh 77-66.

Caiden Nicol led the Lake scoring 30 points, Camdon Tuttle added 17, and Brodey Reisinger netted 12.

The JV Lakers fell to Tecumseh 61-59.

Leading the Lake was Cooper Hall scoring 24 points.

The West Liberty-Salem Varsity team (10-3 Overall and 9-1 OHC) defeated Madison Plains 42-39.
