Volleyball Recap: Indian Lake Dominates; Benjamin Logan Falls to Marysville

The Indian Lake Lakers enjoyed a commanding victory against Allen East on Saturday, winning in straight sets with scores of 25-20, 25-15, and 25-9. This win brings the Lakers’ record to 13-2 overall and 3-1 in the CBC.

Kenzie Dixon led the charge with an impressive performance, recording 2 ace serves, 9 kills, and 22 digs. Halle Roby also had a standout match, contributing 1 ace serve, 8 kills, 8 digs, 2 blocks, and 17 assists. Alivia Kinney added to the team’s success with 5 ace serves and 4 kills, while Cami Bailey showcased her skills with 2 ace serves, 1 block, and 7 kills. Courtney Altstaetter rounded out the offensive effort with 5 kills and 3 blocks. Riley Ross excelled in defense, going 7/7 serving and tallying 11 digs.

The JV team mirrored the varsity’s success, winning their match against Allen East 25-12 and 25-17. Ady Oldiges had a stellar outing, going 11/11 serving with 4 ace serves and 9 assists. Brynna Avila also shined with 9/9 serving, 2 ace serves, and 5 digs. Madison Davis and Bre Wisener contributed significantly as well, with Davis recording 3 kills and 2 blocks, while Wisener had 4 kills and 6 assists. The JV team now boasts an impressive record of 13-2.

Benjamin Logan Falls to Marysville

In a tough matchup, Benjamin Logan High School faced off against the Marysville Monarchs but came up short, losing 3-1. The match set scores were 20-25, 20-25, 25-21, and 24-26. Despite the loss, Benjamin Logan fought hard, showing resilience and competitive spirit throughout the match.

As the season progresses, both Indian Lake and Benjamin Logan will continue to build on their performances, aiming for strong finishes in their respective divisions.
