Volleyball Roundup: Indian Lake, Riverside, and West Liberty-Salem Teams Compete

Thursday, several local volleyball teams showcased their skills on the court with mixed results.

Indian Lake vs. Benjamin Logan

The Indian Lake Lakers edged out the Benjamin Logan Raiders in a thrilling five-set match, winning 25-18, 25-22, 19-25, 20-25, and 15-11. Halle Roby made headlines by reaching a significant milestone—her 2000th assist—while also achieving an impressive 18/18 serving record, 19 digs, 3 blocks, and 33 assists.

Key contributions from the Lakers included:
– Kenzie Dixon with 21 kills and 16 digs
– Cami Bailey, who was perfect in serving (24/24) and added 5 aces, 18 kills, and 9 digs
– Riley Ross with an unblemished serving record (11/11) and 30 digs
– Addyson Roby with 4 aces and 15 digs alongside 15 assists

The Lakers now hold an overall record of 16-3 and 8-1 in the CBC. They will face St. Mary’s in their next home match.

Benjamin Logan’s Strong Fight

In another matchup against Indian Lake, Benjamin Logan put forth a strong effort but ultimately fell short in five sets with scores of 18-25, 22-25, 25-19, 25-20, and 11-15. Standout performances included:
