The West Liberty-Salem Lady Tiger softball team lost a hard spot game 7 to 6 against the West Jefferson Roughriders.

Whitney Strapp, Kennedy Wallace, and Brielle Milliron each had two hits.

Milliron and Audrey Collins each had a solo home run.

Wallace had a great day on the mound as well with seven strikeouts in two walks.

The Tigers will play at home on Monday against Mechanicsburg.

The Lady Chiefs beat visiting Piqua 10-3.

Senior Alexza Clifton went 3-4 with 2 triples which breaks the career record for triples (now 15) previously held by Caitlin Shumaker.

Kassi Prine went 3-4 with two doubles, Addison Wical 3-4 with a double, Rianna Fullerton 2-4, Ellie Mitchell 2-4, and Averie Vigansky added a double.

Defensively they played well and the battery of Averie Vigansky (P) and Laila Butler (C) earned the win.

Riverside hosted Ben Logan Saturday night under the lights at Quincy Ball Diamond, and well 11-0.

Ben Logan and Riverside decided to play a game on a field that most of the girls grew up playing on.

It was a great atmosphere with a big crowd.

Ben Logan’s offense was the difference as they hit the ball really well with runners in scoring position.

The Pirates just couldn’t get the offense rolling.

They got some girls on base, but couldn’t get the big hit they needed.

Jayden Hoffer and Riley Dillon each had a hit for Riverside.

Keira Mananhan took the loss on the mound.

Benjamin Logan won a non-league game on Saturday when they traveled to Quincy to play Riverside under the lights.

Several Lady Raiders contributed to the victory.

Offensively, Tanna Jacobs and Keeli Rostorfer each had two hits including a double and two RBI’s.

Courtney Bowers also doubled and drove in a run.

Sidney Sallee added a hit and two RBIs, and Kylie Harner added a hit and an RBI.

Nine Lady Raiders crossed the plate in the game.

On the mound, Adilynne Gregg earned the shutout win, allowing just three hits in five innings.

The Lady Raiders will host Northwestern on Monday for more CBC action.
