The West Liberty-Salem 4th grade boys had a hard-fought battle against Mechanicsburg, but came up just short, losing 24-22.

Lucas Holliday led the team with 7 points, while Zeke Bair added 6.

The 5th-grade boys dominated the weekend with two impressive victories.

First, they overcame an unbeaten Fairbanks team, edging them out 28-25.

Isaac Falloon and Braxton Louden each contributed 12 points.

In their second game, they cruised past Mechanicsburg 34-16 with Louden leading the charge once again with 24 points.

Jackson Barth (4 points) and Isaac Falloon (4 points) also contributed to the win.

The 6th-grade basketball team dropped two this weekend.

Game 1 was against Fairbanks which saw West Liberty fall 20-16 as Zoey Richardson led the scoring at 10 points with Chloe State adding 4 and Kennedy Logwood with 2.

Game 2 saw West Liberty lose a heartbreaker as a 3-pointer was banked in with 10 seconds left to lift Mechanicsburg to victory 28-25.

Izzy Jones lead scorers with 10 followed by Zoey Richardson at 8 and Chloe Staten at 7.

The Tiger’s record is now 7-3 as they enter the regular season final weekend against Bellefontaine and Southeastern

The 7th grade girls ended their season with a record of 15-0 and the OHC North Champions.

They defeated Mechanicsburg 38-27.

Scoring for the Tiger was Bella Johnson (15), Rylee Falloon (8), Avery Brown (7), Lilly Yeater (4), Avery Randall (3), and Emily Leas added 1 point.

The 8th-grade girls played hard in the OHC North Championship game but fell short to Fairbanks with a 32-23 loss.

The team wrapped up their season with a solid 9-7 record.

The Indian Lake 7th Grade Girls basketball team faced a tough tournament loss to Urbana, falling 19-6.

Abby Bihn led the team with 3 points and 5 steals.

The 8th Grade Girls weren’t able to bounce back either, losing 38-26 to Urbana.

Kyler Carruthers was the standout with 11 points, and Claire Tidwell contributed 6 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 steals.

The Bellefontaine 7th Grade Girls basketball team kicked off their CBC tournament play with a 30-21 victory over Graham.

Kennedy Hairston posted an impressive double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds.

Annie Gallaway added 8 points, and Gianna Davis contributed 5 points and 6 steals.

The Lady Chiefs travel to North Union for the next round.

The CCS Spartans Jr. High Girls team secured a tournament win, defeating First Baptist Christian 25-8.

Eden LeCrone led the way with 11 points, while Caroline Moore added 10.

Destiny Mathys made a big impact on the boards, grabbing 10 rebounds in the win.

Riverside‘s 8th-grade boys basketball team lost to Covington on Friday night 33-23.

Riverside 7th grade boys beat Covington 37-20.
