Saturday, the West Liberty-Salem boys’ varsity soccer team powered past Greeneview with a 4-0 shutout victory, fueled by three first-half goals.
Wyat Longaberger, Kamden Yang, and Lance Campbell each found the back of the net in the first half, while Elijah Christison added a second-half goal to seal the win. Conner Leichty, Longaberger, and Yang each picked up an assist.
Goalkeeper Tucker Searles earned his fifth straight shutout, with strong defensive support from Jake Lauck, Miles Christison, Braden Hershberger, Caleb Ling, and Lance Saylor.
The Tigers improved to 11-2 overall and 4-1 in the OHC.
Their next match is at home against Miami East on September 30.
