West Liberty Boys Tie with Springfield Shawnee; Girls Net Springfield

The West Liberty-Salem boys’ soccer team came away with a 1-1 tie Saturday evening against Springfield Shawnee.

Wyatt Longaberger scored off Elijah Christison’s assist to secure the tie.

Tucker Searles had 3 saves in goal for WLS.

The team’s next game is on Thursday at 5:30 p.m. at Emmanuel Christian.

The JV team plays at home this Tuesday at 5 p.m.

 

The West Liberty-Salem Girls defeated Springfield Shawnee Saturday 7-0.

Leading the Tiger with three goals was Rosie Dunham.

Also scoring for West Liberty were Lilly Weaver, Ava Johnson, Skyler Ropp, and Kerrigan Burgel.

Assisting the team with two assists each was Rosie Dunham and Delaney Jones.

Audrey Collins had two saves in goal and Kaylee Blair added one.

The next game for the ladies is at home on Tuesday against Sidney Lehman at 7 p.m.
