The West Liberty-Salem boys and girls track teams competed on Saturday in day two of the Division 2 District Meet hosted at Piqua.
The boys were 1st out of 18 schools.
This is the fourth straight year WL-S has been district champs!

The boys’ team is sending 13 athletes in 16 events to the regional meet.
“To have all relays move on to regionals and have at least one qualifier in all running events is a tremendous accomplishment, ” said Coach Aaron Lauck. “I am very proud of our guys. They are a talented group, but they have worked very hard to get to this spot. I am excited for their opportunity to represent next week at the Division 2 Regional, Thursday and Saturday at Piqua.”
The girls’ team competed in the meet also, and placed 3rd out of 16 teams, earning them a spot at regionals as well.

The Tigers will compete on Wednesday in Regional prelims at Troy Memorial Stadium. Field Events start at 4:00 pm and running starts at 5:30 pm.
“The girls were very exciting to watch as they did better than expected this week,” said Coach Mandy Lauck, “coming up just short of Runner Up to a very strong Anna and Botkins teams. We are moving 9 of our 12 participants to regionals. We are very proud of each girl and their performances this week!”
