The West Liberty-Salem Boys Track Team competed Saturday at Day 2 of the Division 2 Regional Track Meet hosted at Piqua.
The boys were the runner-up team out of 40 scoring teams.
“Our guys were amazing!” said coach Lauck. “They gave clutch performances at the D2 level in conditions that were unseasonably cold and windy. Jackson Steider assembled a stellar day, winning his individual events as well as helping two relays to state.”
Coach Lauck went on to say they were particularly proud of all four relay teams qualifying for the state meet.
“That is an exceptional feat that showcases talent, training, and dedication, ” he said. “To make this happen, several of our guys sacrificed potential individual glory to qualify their teammates!”
