Benjamin Logan downs Riverside; West Liberty Lady Tigers top Greenon

The Riverside Lady Pirates couldn’t keep up with the Lady Raiders on Saturday and fell, 10-4.

The Pirates opened the scoring in the top of the first thanks to a pair of singles.

Riverside first got on the board when Aubree Huston singled in a run.

Benjamin Logan made the score 3-2 in the bottom of the first after Rylan Norviel powered a 2-run shot over the centerfield fence.

Sidney Sallee followed with an RBI double.

Riverside did take the lead, 4-3, at the top of the second, but that didn’t last long.

Benjamin Logan regained the lead in the bottom of the inning after Norviel singled to center field and Chloe Crumm singled to left field.

Norviel scored on a sacrifice flyout and and Sallee singled in Crumm.

Adilynne Gregg earned the win for Benjamin Logan, giving up eight hits and four runs (three earned) over seven innings, striking out four and walking none.

Riley Dillon took the loss for Riverside, throwing five innings, allowing seven runs (three earned) on 10 hits, striking out two, and walking one.

Benjamin Logan tallied 13 hits in the game.

Sallee led Benjamin Logan with three hits in four at-bats.

Riverside welcomes Bethel on Tuesday for their next game.

Benjamin Logan hosts Shawnee on Monday.

The West Liberty-Salem Lady Tigers improved their record with a 5-3 win on Saturday over Greenon.

Kennedy Wallace was 2-for-3 at the plate, and Audrey Collins was 3-for-4.

Kiersten Stoll and Kaylee Blair both added multiple hits for the Tigers.

Wallace hit a milestone during the game.

She accumulated 11 strikeouts during the game against Greenon.

That puts her at 254 Career Strikeouts!

The Lady Tigers will be at Mechanicsburg on Monday.
