The West Liberty-Salem 5th Grade Boys Basketball team recently won the Silver Bracket Championship in the Miami Valley Youth Basketball League.
They defeated Cedarville 43-30 in the final after beating West Jefferson 32-22 in the semifinals.
Braxton Louden led the team in both games, scoring 16 points in the semifinal and 17 in the final.
Isaac Falloon contributed with 7 points in the semifinal and 12 points in the final.
The team finished with a 12-5 record and will compete in the Triad Classic on March 1st and 2nd.
The Benjamin Logan 5th Grade Girls Basketball team finished their season by winning the Triad Classic for the second consecutive year.
They beat Bellefontaine 23-20 in a close championship game.
The Raiders also beat Urbana, Mechanicsburg, and West Liberty to reach the final.
The team finished the season 12-2 in the Miami Valley Youth Basketball League and 16-2 overall.
