On Tuesday night, the West Liberty-Salem 8th grade girls volleyball team defeated Fairbanks with scores of 19-25, 25-6, and 25-11, improving their record to 5-1.
The WL-S 7th grade team also claimed victory in their match against Fairbanks, winning 18-25, 25-10, and 25-19. Their record now stands at 4-1.
In contrast, the Riverside 8th grade volleyball team fell to Lehman, with scores of 15-25 and 22-25. Notable performances included Ellie Zwiebel with 6 points and 2 kills, Madison Schindewolf with 6 points and 2 aces, and Morgan Klingelhofer with 5 points and 4 aces.
The Riverside 7th grade team lost to Sidney Lehman in two sets, 10-25 and 13-25. Bella Robinson and Lillianne Jackson were the top scorers, with Robinson earning 2 points and 2 aces, and Jackson adding 5 points with 1 ace.
Riverside will travel to Miami East for their next games on Thursday.
