West Liberty-Salem Baseball Honors Seniors With Win; Lakers Fall to Kenton Ridge

West Liberty-Salem Tigers defeated Fairbanks Panthers 3-2.

Reese Oder earned the win for the Tigers. Jake Evans collected the save.

The Tigers didn’t take the lead until later in the game when, with a tied game in the bottom of the sixth, Peyton Hull hit a sac fly, scoring Austin Olejniczak.

West Liberty-Salem then honored the four seniors on the team: Eli Allen, Peyton Hull, Austin Olejniczak, and Sam Lauck. These four have worked hard to restore the pride to West Liberty-Salem baseball.

Next up for West Liberty-Salem Varsity Tigers is a game at West Jefferson Varsity Roughriders on Saturday.

 

The Indian Lake Lakers fell to the Kenton Ridge Cougars 5-1 Friday night.

Kolton Cummins took the loss for the Lake.

The righty went one and two-thirds innings, surrendering four runs on two hits, striking out none, and walking two.

Lane Tucci and Burke Lillard each collected one hit for the Lakers.

The Indian Lake Lakers will next play Chaminade Julienne on Saturday.
