The West Liberty-Salem bowling teams both secured victories over Southeastern in their latest matchups.
Girls’ Team: Alyssa Mueller led the way for the girls with an impressive 242, followed by Sadie Paul with a strong 266. Elli Ullery scored 159, Lilly Gearheart posted 169, and Jenny Reprogle contributed 98. The team posted a two-game total of 1730, while Southeastern finished with 1426. In the Baker round, West Liberty-Salem finished with 587, compared to Southeastern’s 546. The final match total was 2317 for West Liberty-Salem and 1972 for Southeastern. The girls are now 5-2 overall and 2-1 in conference play.
Boys’ Team: Devon Jones was the standout for the boys, scoring 257, while Zander Gluckle added 208. Brock Millis posted 184, Luke Thomas contributed 227, and Evan Borgerding scored 173. West Liberty-Salem’s two-game total was 1943, defeating Southeastern’s 1888. In the Baker round, West Liberty-Salem finished with 771, while Southeastern had 742. The final match total was 2714 for West Liberty-Salem and 2630 for Southeastern. The boys are also 5-2 overall and 2-1 in conference play.
JV Team: The JV team also had solid performances, with Jerome Cordrey scoring 173, Austin Markin posting 146, Patrick Brooks with 101, Carson Instine scoring 153, Carson Kerns contributing 180, and Xzavior Nicholl finishing with 105.
Both the girls’ and boys’ teams continue to perform well as they move through the season.
