The West Liberty-Salem boys wrestling team competed in the tough Lima Central Catholic Thunderbird Invite this past weekend.
This was their best performance at LCC in the last five years, finishing 17th out of 36 teams.
Here are the results:
- Silas Krabill (165 lbs): 3-2 with 2 pins, finished 5th.
- Wyatt Shoemaker (106 lbs): 3-2 with 2 pins, finished 6th.
- Lucas Merriman (126 lbs): 4-2 with 3 pins and a tech fall, finished 7th.
- Zayden Shafer (113 lbs): 2-2 with 2 pins.
- Madden Kilgore (120 lbs): 2-2 with a pin and a major decision.
- Lance Saylor (132 lbs): 1-2 with a tech fall.
- Kyler Langhardt (138 lbs): 2-2 with 2 pins.
- Derek Wall (144 lbs): 0-2 but is improving.
- Robert Park (157 lbs): 0-2 but competed well as a first-year wrestler.
- Tim Krabill (175 lbs): 0-2 but continues to improve.
- Sam Bradford (190 lbs): 0-1, had to default from the tournament.
- Maverick Reames (215 lbs): 0-2 but is pushing himself and getting better.
Next, the Tigers will wrestle at Northeastern on Wednesday.
