Monday night, the West Liberty-Salem girls basketball team was victorious over Greeneview 45-32.
Ava Astorino led the Tigers with 11 points, while Maddie McGill contributed 10 points.
Addi Wallen added 9 points, and Belle Sarver scored 6 points.
Ava Johnson and Ava Poppe rounded out the scoring with 5 and 4 points, respectively.
There was no JV game played during this matchup.
In other basketball action, Versailles defeated Urbana 64-50.
Peyton Mounce was a standout performer, dominating the court with 23 points while also reaching a milestone of 1000 career rebounds during the game.
Riverside fell to Arcanum 79-72. They were down by 21 points in the 3rd quarter and clawed their way back in the 4th, but ran out of time.
Jaxon Woods led with 25 points, 11 rebounds, and 4 assists with 3 blocks. Gavin Orsborne assisted with 18 points, 3 assists, and 2 steals. Brody Orsborne had 8 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists, while Hayden Sanford scored 10 points with 2 rebounds.
JV lost 75-46. Blaine Shoe led with 10 points and 3 assists. David Gross had 8 points and 3 rebounds. Syler Clark pitched in with 6 points, 2 steals, and a block.
Freshman lost 50-20. Gabe Steineman had 9 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 steals. Laithen Snyder scored 7 points with 2 rebounds.
