The West Liberty-Salem Tigers picked up a 3-0 victory over Bellefontaine Saturday in a non-conference matchup.
West Liberty-Salem controlled the scoreboard throughout the match, with three different Tigers finding the back of the net.
Arianna Weaver scored the first goal for West Liberty-Salem, giving the Tigers an early advantage.
Ellery Wygal added another goal for the Tigers, extending the lead to 2-0.
Avery Brown capped the scoring for West Liberty-Salem, giving the Tigers a 3-0 advantage.
The Tigers’ defense also turned in a strong performance, limiting Bellefontaine’s scoring opportunities throughout the match.
Goalkeeper Ella Jacobs recorded six saves while earning another shutout for West Liberty-Salem.
The victory moves the Tigers to 2-1-1 overall and 1-0-1 in Ohio Heritage Conference play.
West Liberty-Salem will return to action Tuesday when the Tigers travel to West Jefferson for another OHC matchup. Kickoff is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
