West Liberty-Salem hosts Tiger Invitational

West Liberty-Salem High School hosted its annual Tiger Invitational on Friday night, bringing in tough competition from around the region.

The WL-S boys team claimed the overall team title, while the girls team earned a solid sixth-place finish in a deep field.

Girls Individual and Relay Placers:
1st Place:

  • Chloe Griffith – 100 meter dash – 12.58

2nd Place:

  • Tori Douthwaite – Pole Vault – 9 feet, 6 inches
  • 4×100 Relay (Tori Douthwaite, Hattie Jacobs, Ella Albers, Chloe Griffith) – 52.12
  • Chloe Griffith – 200 meter dash – 26.78

3rd Place:

  • 4×200 Relay (Tori Douthwaite, Hattie Jacobs, Arianna Weaver, Chloe Griffith) – 1:50.30
  • Arianna Weaver – 800 meter run – 2:31.16

4th Place:

The girls team will compete next at the OHC Championships on Monday and Thursday at Greeneview High School.

The boys team will also travel to Greeneview for the OHC Championships next Monday and Thursday.
