West Liberty-Salem, Indian Lake highlight Thursday MS boys’ basketball results

Middle school boys basketball teams across the area were in action this week, with several squads posting strong performances and key wins.

West Liberty-Salem 8th Grade Boys

West Liberty-Salem remained unbeaten on the season with a 46–29 victory over Greenview, improving to 5–0 overall.

Scoring for WL-S:

  • Foster King – 14 points

  • Kipton Crowder – 10 points

  • Liam Harrington – 10 points

  • Mack Heminger – 8 points

  • Calen Fairchild – 2 points

  • Elijah Lyburtus – 2 points

Greenview was led by Sutter with 14 points, followed by Washburn (6), Carter (5), Caleb Beatty (2), and Cole Beatty (2).

The Tigers return to action Tuesday at home against Greenon, with tip-off scheduled for 5:30 p.m.

West Liberty-Salem 7th Grade Boys

The WL-S 7th grade boys picked up a 37–19 road win at Greenview, improving their record to 3–2.

Scoring for WL-S:

Indian Lake 8th Grade Boys

The Indian Lake 8th-grade boys extended their winning streak to five straight games with a 32–27 win over Urbana, moving their record to 5–2.

Scoring for Indian Lake:

  • Logan Kuhlke – 6 points

  • Ross Tidwell – 6 points

The Lakers now break for the holidays and will return to action January 5 at home against Bellefontaine.

Indian Lake 7th Grade Boys

The Indian Lake 7th-grade boys dropped a 35–29 home decision to Urbana in a tightly contested matchup.

The Lakers cut the deficit to as few as three points in the fourth quarter but were unable to complete the comeback.
