On Thursday, the West Liberty-Salem Middle School football team suffered a 24-6 defeat in their season opener against Fairbanks.
Offensively, Brandel Sullivan connected with Jack Harman for the team’s lone touchdown. Sullivan also made significant contributions on defense, recording two interceptions. Logan Behlmer added another interception, and Grant Krabill recovered a fumble.
The team will look to bounce back next Thursday as they travel to Greeneview.
