The West Liberty-Salem girls’ soccer team secured a commanding 4-0 victory over Northeastern in an OHC matchup on Tuesday night. Audrey Collins contributed with 4 saves, while Ava Johnson and Skyler Ropp each scored two goals. Ropp also added an assist to her tally. With this win, the Tigers improve to 1-2 on the season and 1-1 in conference play. They will travel to Madison-Plains for their next match on September 5th at 5:30 PM.
In boys’ soccer, West Liberty-Salem evened their season record at 2-2 with a decisive 5-1 win against Northeastern. Elijah Christison led the scoring with 3 goals, and Isaiah Reminder and Wyatt Longaberger each added 1 goal. Caleb Ling and Troy Christison provided assists, while Tucker Searles made 1 save in goal. The boys’ team will travel to Franklin Monroe for a match on Thursday at 6 PM.
