West Liberty-Salem defeated Miami East 41-23. Ava Astorino led the Tigers with 17 points, followed by Addi Wallen with 12. Other scorers included Ava Johnson (3), Maddie McGill (4), Ava Poppe (4), and Belle Sarver (1). WL-S improves to 3-1 on the season. The JV team also won 36-31, with Lucy Cole scoring 15 points.
Riverside’s JV Lady Pirates lost to Northridge 29-12. Chloe Purtee and Molly Carman each scored 3 points, and Riverside drops to 2-1 on the year. The Varsity Lady Pirates lost to Northridge 53-72. Miah Carman led the team with 19 points, while Avery Perk added 17 and Aubree Huston chipped in 13. Riverside is now 2-2 overall and 0-1 in conference play. The Pirates will face Troy Christian on Saturday.
