The West Liberty-Salem youth varsity cheer team had a remarkable outing at the OHC cheer competition held at Northeastern on Sunday, securing an impressive 3rd-place finish against teams from both OHC North and South.
The squad also excelled in the Jump-Off competition, with four cheerleaders representing the team and achieving outstanding results. Isley Dobberstein, a 3rd grader, took 1st place, while Eliana Park, a 4th grader, and Corinne Wright, a 5th grader, both earned 3rd place honors.
This marks a significant achievement for the Tigers, as it is the first time in seven years that the team has placed in the top 3 at this competition.
The team is proudly coached by senior varsity cheerleader Ava Chamberlain, showcasing the talent and leadership within the program.
Congratulations to all the cheerleaders for their hard work and dedication.
