Winter weather has prompted numerous school athletic cancellations and schedule changes across area athletics for tonight, Tuesday, January 27.
Bellefontaine High School boys basketball has rescheduled its game against Shawnee that was set for tonight. That matchup will now be played February 7, starting with the JV game at 6 p.m.
At Indian Lake, the boys basketball game against Kenton Ridge has been canceled and rescheduled for February 3 at Kenton Ridge. Indian Lake wrestling at Versailles has also been canceled and will not be rescheduled.
Benjamin Logan has canceled all boys basketball games scheduled for tonight. Those games have been rescheduled for Wednesday, January 28, at Jonathan Alder, with game times remaining the same.
Riverside Local Schools canceled junior high girls basketball against Sidney Lehman, now rescheduled for January 29 at 5:30 p.m., and high school boys basketball against Troy Christian, rescheduled for February 4 at 6 p.m.
West Liberty-Salem canceled all evening events and after-school practices for today.
At Calvary Christian, JV and varsity boys basketball games against Shekinah were canceled, along with varsity bowling against Riverside. Varsity girls basketball at Fairlawn has been rescheduled for February 2.
Urbana canceled tonight’s home boys basketball game against Northwestern, now rescheduled for Tuesday, February 10. Additional changes include JV and varsity girls basketball at Springfield moved to February 6, 7th and 8th grade boys basketball against London scheduled for January 29, and bowling against London moved to Wednesday at Southwest Bowl. Seventh and eighth grade girls basketball at London will not be rescheduled.
Graham Local Schools canceled all athletic activities for today, with London basketball and Benjamin Logan bowling to be rescheduled.
Mechanicsburg and Triad both canceled all athletic events and practices for the day, with coaches expected to follow up with teams regarding updates.
