Imagine a Friday night under the lights….. a championship on the line…… back and forth lead changes and ultimately ending with a one run difference is something you would love to witness to close out a season. That is exactly what happened Friday night in Blue Jacket Park however West Liberty Thoman’s IGA was on the wrong side of the final but you could not ask for a better battle.

The game kicked off with the Tigers loading the bases with no outs immediately putting the Wildcats on their heels however they were able to pick up two outs before Siri Monroe was hit by a pitch to pick up a RBI and push the first run of the night across the board. Kenton was able to answer in the bottom of the inning and go ahead in the second with another run.

Third inning saw Paisley Strapp slap a ball into the right center gap and cruise into second with a double; later to score on a Delaney Morris single to the right field to tie the game 2-2. The Wildcats took the lead back in the top of fourth but the fifth inning Chloe Staten legged out an infield single and Paisley Strapp hit a two run home run to give the Tigers a lead late in the game. The lead didn’t last long as the Wildcats plated two runs to take a 5-4 lead which ultimately was the final score.

Delaney Morris was able to strike out 7 Wildcat hitters while pitching a 7 inning complete game and she went 2 for 3 on the night with a RBI.

Chloe Staten and Paisley Strapp were 2 for 2 and Zoey Richardson had a hit on the night.

It was a great season for the Tigers as they went 9-3 on the season and Finished Logan County Gold Bracket Runner up.
