The West Liberty-Salem 8th grade girls basketball team opened their season in strong fashion, picking up a 29–21 victory over Triad.

The Tigers are back in action on Thursday as they travel to Northeastern.
In boys junior high action, Riverside JH defeated Bethel 34–27. Jaxen Orsborne led the Pirates with 13 points, Charlie Varian scored 11, Byron Carman added 8, and Coy Yelton chipped in 2.
Riverside travels to Northridge on Saturday.
